Here's a 2GB version of the raw scan made for James Ralston's Toronto 1966 8mm. Enjoy! :)

Reach out to Piers Hemmingsen with this, might get a kick out of this new scan,

I finally just got back the 4K scan of this amazing 8mm home movie shot by James Ralston at the Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto on August 17th, 1966 during the evening show. While it's in black and white, this is one of the most beautiful concert home movies I've seen of the Beatles, and I hope you all will agree! :D I am very grateful James was willing to let me get his home movie rescanned, and it's one of the most significant transformations I've ever seen a rescan do for a home movie!

Once this is up I'll be providing an mp4 copy of my sync as well as the raw scan.

Thanks everyone! :D
THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH

Cannot wait, I was once in contact with a Canadian Beatle fan who claimed to own a soundboard of the 1966 Toronto show, backed up by multiple people, wish you could have synced this seemingly beautiful footage with that audio.

Anyway, cannot wait, hopefully we get a good few shots of Rock And Roll Music!
I've never heard of a Toronto soundboard, but I know there is a tape from the afternoon show and we have If I Needed Someone from it, which I have used in this sync. With Rock and Roll Music, it's almost the entire song just missing the very start and one cut in the middle! :D
be cool one day that full tape was out....

I've been making some good progress on getting 4K rescans for some films out there already and new 4K scans for some films that have never been scanned yet. Stay tuned! :)

For the brave and slightly insane: here is the original ProRes scan file made for this Toronto 8mm film, at a whopping 103GB! It doesn’t get higher quality than this! :D

Note the aspect capture 6464x4852.mov. unless you've gota decent media player for the this practical and possibly its locked to PC to view. I'd prefer a smaller file.
