Re: Abbey Road Demixed
Demixed implies that he seperated all the instruments. THis creates many copies of each track, which accounts for the large file size. Now you, as downloader, can enter these tracks into a DAW and "RE"-mix the album the way that you think it should have sounded originally.rawsmack wrote: ↑Sun Oct 20, 2024 2:36 pmWhat have you done and why it is so big? Re: Abbey Road Demixed
There are a few things I see that could help reduce the download size:
•Flatten mono files
•Reduce from 24-bit to 16-bit (I'm not sure what res his source files were)
•Trim the empty space from the ends of each track
I do all of this for my collection after each of these downloads . Normalizing helps as well, and you can go as far as to silence extraneous bits/artifacts.
Presenting them in FLAC (thank you!) helped the file size not be twice as large!
And of course, THANK YOU Bambam for these files, no matter what size they are!
