Soldier Of Love - Beatles 1963 - STEREO MIX
The 1994 CD “The Beatles Live at the BBC” has a great cover version of the song Soldier Of Love (Lay Down Your Arms) from “Pop Goes The Beatles”, July 1963, and I’ve now remixed this live BBC Radio performance into stereo. Here's my flac audio file - I hope you like it: hxxps://we.tl/t-353hoGdCFM
For comparison here's the original mono version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-SiO2aGye4

Very excellent job overall, and a definite improvement over the tinny original! John sounds so much more present.
However – too much of the hot sauce is making the vocals distort, especially at the very beginning.
If you can back off the mastering 10% or more, I'd be interested in hearing the result.

Yes, that did it!
I first tried reducing the volume on your first version by -1 decibel but the distortion remained.
I see your v2 is reduced in a similar manner but your mastering had a lighter touch as well.
Thanks for the follow-up!

Impressive bass!
Are you using a subharmonic plugin or something similar using psychoacoustic enhancement like Waves Renaissance?
