Can't see why there wouldn't, considering PJ and others pushed Disney so hard to release Get Back on disc.

Either Ektachrome or Kodachrome as they are both positives. If the safety print has faded, it's most likely Ektachrome.Lord Reith wrote: ↑Sun Apr 21, 2024 11:07 pmThere was no negatives for MMT as it was shot with a special type of Kodak film the name of which escapes me but the film in the camera literally becomes the positive.Fun 4 None wrote: ↑Sun Apr 21, 2024 3:30 pm
Apple lost the negative to MMT so what they released in 2012 was a print and thus had faded colors.

Re: Michael Lindsay-Hogg's 'Let It Be' is coming!
PJ went into detail on this in a recent podcast -- he had to beg and plead for a physical GET BACK release after Disney announced they weren't going to do home video anymore. Then Disney screwed up the release, pushed the release date back to fix audio issues, and everybody torrented GET BACK instead of buying it. Then Disney used it as "proof" that no one buys physical media anymore.
But the goods news is, back in February of this year, Disney made a licensing deal with Sony under which Sony's home entertainment division will handle all Disney releases on DVD and Blu-ray. So fingers crossed.

IF THEY were Smart put them alone and together Get Back & Let It Be in one package with extra footage Peter says he has!

My guess would be 2025 at best for any type of LIB physical release…IMO

Was just shown in NYC last night to invited guests. You won’t see reviews or podcasts on it until after the Disney premiere on the 8th? As information is embargoed until after that

So much adeu about much adeu about...
there is no way to be sure of anything now.
But, I have thought all along that there would be ZERO overlap between LIB and GB. MLH probably worked off of original negative and was careless about destroying or losing them. So, there probably isn't any visual gimmick to exploit to begin with. The only angle to pitch is already set up. A deluxe version now will miss the opportunity on this platform? How??? Disney could pretend to be the oaf that is fumbling and stumbling but if the movie retains its purity without something extra, will it be any better? They should let MLH do some serious fear porn/modern translation as pre-game promo whereby he was romanticly smitten with cigar smoke and when he woke up on the roof, it was very sandy and cold...which might not be fictitious but vividly imagined. Leaving London Town in the keeping of the ghost who is sweeping up the cigar butts of Savile Row! Realize that I have just set up the real plot that could go anywhere...like from then to now in a paddy wagon. Take him to the station and book him, into the evidence room and Let Him Be. Introduce the real campaign from there and pretend that the 1970 movie was just the set up for a new release: The Get Back - REALIZED!
As conceived, et. cetera.
SDE Edition is a shipping box full of reels to put in the bin!
Tower Bridge!?! We haven't been anywhere!
Spike Milligan can arrest George Martin and take him to Chez Eduard's for Rice Krispies!
Hudson Sprayer edit!
We just don't know.

Let me make this plain, especially for all the young dudes in the back row who may not have gotten the memo yet: if I ever release an album on vinyl, I want you to write the liner notes. You are our resident Andrew Loog Oldham, and I love you forever for that!Kwai Chang wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2024 2:20 am So much adeu about much adeu about...
