looks great, but yeah, AI must be involved.
There are many shots where it looks like John, Paul and George all have bigger noses than Ringo

I see it now in VLC, thanks. I had been quick-looking it in macOS Finder previously where it did not display.Pepe_Java wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2024 10:29 pmIt's in the file title, VideoProc Converter AI, maybe the OP can post the raw version?alphabeatles wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2024 6:34 pm Thanks, looks like AI upscaling using Video AI or such.
I too would like to experiment with this original file. My best copy is from The Cathode Ray Tube Collection. I was able to delete a couple other really crappy versions I collected in 2010 just now

Surely somebody must have the short lived official dvd release? It was on the Network label and had the whole show from the master reel. Network unfortunately closed and now that dvd goes for silly money on Ebay.

Occam's Razor, m'Lord.
The DVD is probably lodged on a private torrent tracker. Somewhere!
But given the extant dirt/dust artifacts, I'm still guessing this (and the DVD?) orignated from a kinescope and has had very little processing, let alone AI. Do we know how ABC archived its productions?

It's from a kinescope, but every other version out there is from a bad vhs copy of a kinescope. You can see from the various documentary clips that the original is fairly sharp and clear.rtbcIII wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2024 11:54 pm Occam's Razor, m'Lord.

I've kicked myself around the block for missing that dvd. Duh. Network also did Morcambe And Wise, but that one we have.

It's from the DVD which can be ordered from here.
I used some TOPAZ AI tools and some other software to enlarge.
