Not nearly as well known as Backbeat, Nowhere Boy, Or Birth Of The Beatles, this is a made for TV John Lennon Biopic.
This is probably the highest quality source you'll ever find, a real nice DVD rip. ENJOY
Some "cool" (at least interesting) scenes showing the beating of Bob Wooler, birth of Julian, and meeting of Cynthia.

Re: "In His Life" John Lennon Biopic, High Quality.
Thank you for sharing, and the great video quality of it. This is such an odd film because the actor chosen to play the title character is absolutely nothing like Lennon in any way. I'm constantly pulled out of the story because it's some fraud who doesn't belong there. It's watching some 25ish year old large football player thrown in with the rest of the band -- who are at least somewhat able to blend into their roles, at least visually sometimes. This is probably the worst "Lennon" ever put to film, and there have been some pretty dodgy characterizations of him over the years by different actors. Why in the world did THIS guy get cast in the part?

Wasn't that Doctor Who Lennon pretty bad, Lennon Naked? I have a bit more sympathy for this Lennon just because this was a pretty damn small production, and he was an unknown actor.applebonkerz wrote: ↑Wed Feb 28, 2024 3:53 pm Thank you for sharing, and the great video quality of it. Thanks for the share. Yes, the video quality is good. I know I have seen this before, but cannot remember when. I just now skimmed through it and am pretty sure I recall the McCartney and Epstein characters. It will make for a decent late night viewing regardless of actor accuracy, lol

I VHS recorded this movie when it aired off NBC-TV in 2000 (full of commercials, lol). This made for TV film was only broadcast once, I believe. Thank you for the rip!

Yeah, that pretty much sounds right for when I saw it. I'm rather surprised I actually remembered a couple of the actor's faces after this much time.
