Beatles live on BBC Radio VOLUME 2 *MY 2024 STEREO MIXES*

Here’s another 10 new stereo mixes sourced from mono recordings from the two Beatles “Live at the BBC” CD sets. As with my first stereo batch (recently uploaded here) my aim was to convert mono songs into stereo that the band never recorded onto vinyl, and also to present performances of some lesser-known titles rather than their better known material. Many of these songs highlight George’s excellent guitar solos, and also showcase a rare lead vocal pairing of John & George. The quality of these 60-year old mono broadcasts varied a lot, with several sounding over-recorded and lo-fi, but I hope I’ve given these tracks a new lease of life by opening up the soundstage into stereo, restoring the power & energy of the fab four’s live sound, and improving the overall fidelity and clarity.
