I'm pretty sure it is Paul's original bass just with the bridge raised super high and the strings rewound to be right-handed, personally. It's been over 50 years so not surprising its not exactly as it was back then!

I can’t provide a link because there is no link yet. This was posted on thelostbassproject Instagram page. They said article coming soon. If there was an article I would obviously have posted the link.

You’re welcome for bringing it to your attention.

Replacing (or reversing) the nut and the bridge to accommodate a right-handed player wouldn't be that big of a job.

Why have we been misinfomed for so many years that it was stolen during Get Back if it was actually stolen in 1972?

Can anyone confirm any specific characteristics in photos this is the same one? I'm sure a shit ton of them were sold starting in 1963.

I'm not doubting it's Paul's I'd just like to know if the visual evidence agrees.

In the book, "The Beatles: After the Break-Up
1970-2000" it mentions the theft under October 11/12, 1972.

Thanks. Must be some other guitar I read was stolen during Get Back and conflated with Paul's bass.
