What’s your favorite Beatleg?

Post by mitchellmichael »

I thought it might be fun to give everyone a chance to share your favorite Beatleg. Mine is Sweet Apple Trax. It’s the first one that I had ever heard back around 1980 and is still my go to!

Don't know if this counts as a "Beatleg" but Lord Reith's BBC set, nothing better.

too many to pick from! Return to Pepperland certainly has a special place in my heart. Everyday Chemistry is less of a bootleg, but certainly up there as well

Saw it on the wall of a shop one day. It was the first and only copy I ever saw. Grabbed it straight away and rushed home with it. It looked and sounded stunning. The original issue was prior to Mark lewisohn's BBC listing in Beatles Monthly and had a maroon label with wrong info, then after that was published they made up fake BBC labels with recording information, which was the one I got. Hey, I didn't know it was fake I thought it was really cool.

Stars Of '63 by The Swingin' Pig.

I still remember when I received it by mail, from Alaska to Italy, back in the old time of trading by post! I was 16 back in 2001 and this was one of my first boots. Still my favourite performance!

Paul - Rude Studio Demos. Some of the greatest songs anyone has ever had such an embarrassment of riches, that they could discard them.
