Hi all,

Long time Beatles fan (and lurker). Finally feel I have something worth contributing!

I sent "Puttin' On The Style" from Lord Reith's "Kicks, Kudos and Cash" through lalal.ai to remove the people talking over it, giving us the full available recording without distractions.

I believe this may be the first time most people will be getting to hear the uninterrupted performance - this place and the people here have given me so much pleasure over the years, so I hope you all enjoy! I particularly enjoy the liberated "preacher" verse as you can really hear John's passionate performance - particularly amusing lyrically, given the location (the field at St. Peter's Church)!


For those interested in the specifics:

AI SETTINGS:

For Lord Reith's track:
AI used: lalal.ai v4 (Orion)
Setting: Voice and Noise separation
Tweaked in Audacity using S-Curve Up/Down fades and amplification to get a more consistent volume throughout the whole track.

For the additional audio provided by "dascottjr":
Time-synched and blended in the clearer vocal for verse 2 in audacity, and added the additional chorus immediately before. Faded in and out from Lord Reith's track where necessary.

I find it helpful to read along with the lyrics as I listen, as it helps my mind to fill in the gaps where the quality dips so have included the lyrics, as I believe they are sung, here:

NOTES:
1: The first few words, "Sweet sixteen, goes to" do exist as a recording, but it was impossible to remove the BBC Radio voiceover from those and get anything meaningful from underneath it.
2: The 2nd and 3rd verses are the other way around in Lonnie Donegan's original
3: Lennon seemingly adds "and old" to the lyrics in verse 2, presumably in reference to the assembled crowd's mix of ages


BONUS:
I also did the same thing with the portion of Some Other Guy (take 1) that John spoke over from the 22nd August 1962 Granada TV recording at the Cavern. It's not quite as clean as the above, but figured it was worthy of sharing.
