Re: The Beatles At The Beeb 1982 extended
Thank you for these presents. Reminds me of Christmas 1963 when I got Introducing the Beatles on VJ. I played it on a portable player like this.

Re: The Beatles At The Beeb 1982 extended
Thank you for the Pop Go The Beatles #1 program! It sounds very good, and is the most complete version in my collection. It's great to have the complete From Me To You, as well as the Lorne Gibson Trio performances and the additional continuity bits & chat.
It's also nice to have the Pops & Lenny performances slotted in their proper place.
Thanks for putting this together for us to enjoy, and for sharing it freely.

Re: The Beatles At The Beeb 1982 extended
Thanks Very Much Sir.
I love all the stuff they did before the 'Please Please Me' album & of course that album in itself and everything else after it, but these tracks are extra special to me at 73 yrs old.
You are a genuis & a rare gem in of a guy in giving us all this FANtastic stuff for free.
Peace & Love & Merry Christmas.
Paul

Glad to hear that all of you up front are paying attention and enjoying the festivities.
It has been an incredible amount of work but it was a labour of love.burningfool wrote: ↑Wed Dec 20, 2023 3:31 pm Thanks for putting this together for us to enjoy, and for sharing it freely.
You'd better ask Harry...
Yes, and it is so late in the day. It's very hard for me to grasp that 60 years has passed. I mean, even since I taped The Beatles At The Beeb on cassette it's been 40 years. That's a lifetime.

I used to have something not unlike that as a child. Luckily we got a better one before I started getting into the Beatles, because that thing was a record destroyer!

You might want to change the thread name to get a larger crowd.Lord Reith wrote: ↑Wed Dec 20, 2023 9:14 pm Glad to hear that all of you up front are paying attention and enjoying the festivities.
Or you may not.
As George said of the My Sweet Lord trial, "either way, I'm cool."

Re: The Beatles At The Beeb 1982 extended
Thank you for this incredible treasure, Mr. Lord. Keep Your Hands Off My Baby is a long-time favorite of mine. I'm a bit perplexed by the 2 different sources/edits. Please forgive my aging ears, but I can't tell the difference without a roadmap and clues. Please explain. Also, didn't we have an extended Ringo intro once upon a time?
