wow, nice picture discovery! Pete said decades later in at least one interview that he'd never played with the Beatles on the BBC. Experts disagree, but clearly he did!

Pete played on two BBC sessions in early 1962 (March & June) before the invention of The Ringo in August, 1962.

Major picture discovery! That is by far the clearest picture from the June 11th session I've ever seen. The way they are dressed and the time on the clock shows that it is about an hour before the show started. And John's playing a G major chord which suggests that at that very moment they were conferring about... A Picture Of You!

Yeah, but that's a common one. Where did you find the other one?

Paul's brother Mike took these and it's hard to imagine he didn't snap more than one or two. It would be great if there was a whole roll. But that is by far the most important BBC photo to emerge in years.

Pity the Macs didn't tape the broadcasts too.
