Mainly because if you post the original a lot of people will download it rather than buy it. But the general public has no interest in Joe Blow's remix, so it is a different kettle of fish. It's something for afficionados. Remixes are okay, but not the actual single.
Places like pirate bay generally cater to people who do not want to pay for releases. Places like this cater for fans who already have them but might want to hear something else they can't go and buy.
Theere are probably other reasons too, but I believe that is the main one.

It's obvious, throw out the single and the rest can be posted 
otherwise it's a mess, thinking what should be allowed and what should not. Like, at Dime it's not allowed to post anything commercially released, even if OOP for eons, and even worse, any mixes of works released commercially.
