f*ck! I know what the problem is! This should have been directed by Dick Lester. Starring Mal Evans as Cliff DoverWhite(the Beatles fan). I must tell you, I was completely disappointed to find this is merely AUDIO! I stupidly took the bait(White Books) GOD!!! I hate the song Get Back! Because I had never heard it before my brother brought the Let It Be LP home! It was never played on the radio(either version). Only after the realease of the Red/Blue did I ever hear Get Back(45) for the first time, It was strange since it was NOT the same 'version'. I remember Come Together received heavy airplay. Ditto @ Let It Be and Long And Winding Road. Eight Days A Week, HELP, SFF...to name others! All regular parts of my memory. Get Back? Not until 1973...by then, I had been damaged by the film of LIB...
But, to save this film, all it needs is some real context! NOBODY on the street even knows what the racket is about. Mal could have done his job AND starred in the proceedings. He would be a roadie for the Beatles. His function would be Looking For The White Cliffs Of Dover. As it happens, he gets to do all the work for a free ticket in the front row of the bleachers on the roof of the building across the street which would have been a better seat for MLH!
We could hear audience applause...and we might see them leave if they do a 3rd rendition of Get Back! Which they had to do!
No Jail...Bad cop. No Donut.
