As for comments - at the moment I have only one observation and it concerns the song "Penny Lane" from the UK Singles CD collection - digital source, around 1'30 there is a skip, maybe a disc error or the player hit during ripping?
However, this is a small thing compared to the entire huge collection I received. Thank you.

While wrapping up this project I found a March 2007 email exchange between Bob from Millennium Remasters and myself about new acquisitions that would be transferred soon. He mentions Dr. Ebbett and Mirror Spock. Here’s the email…

“Just got in the Nimbus PEPPER and was able to give it a play Sunday - very
nice album. It's night and day difference between it and the UHQR. Every
instrument on the UHQR stands out whereas the Nimbus has more of a "mix"
feel with more of the instrumentation to the middle. Much more like the
regular UK version, but has more detail. In short, if you're a person that
prefers the UK stereo versions, you'd love this. If you tend toward the
MFSL stereo versions, the UHQR would be the choice.

Personally there's too many people out there arguing why one is better than
another. There are differences and it's cool sometimes to have more than
one version of a recording and appreciate each.

The transfer and clean-up shouldn't take much as the album is in new
condition, just wish it hadn't cost so much. It's value is very inflated,
but when there were only 1,000 made and it being lauded by purists so much
it's just about impossible to find. Hope people will find it of interest.

DIE BEATLES is a very nice LP. I was fortunate to find a copy that appears
unplayed. It suffers slightly from groove noise at the very end of songs
and through rills, but believe this is typical as German vinyl didn't get to
be silky smooth until the later '70's. No noise, though, through the songs
themselves. I've seen that Dr. Ebbett has offered this title, but haven't
heard it. Also thinking of getting BAND ON THE RUN from Nimbus (only found
out recently they'd offered it).

At times got rather disgruntled that Ebbett or MIRROR had taken some of my
sound sources and then did their own particular fudgery. Many titles they
offered were of their own resources, but know sonically for a fact that many
times their audio was borrowed from us with the EQ jacked-up and a new
artwork slapped on. Then I'd get some argument from a would-be customer as
to how much better their offerings were. My argument has always been I'd
like to have about $50,000 in playback / transfer equipment to make a
perfect transfer and send you an unlabeled disc in a white sleeve. All I
care about is the sound.

Sorry to ramble on. Have thought about doing a website as a type of club,
perhaps like Steve Hoffman's site.
