Electronic Sound on ATMP?
Re: Electronic Sound on ATMP?
Interesting. Can you give a couple of specific examples? Would be interested to check it out.
If it's in I Remember Jeep, that might be because it's a 1969 recording with a Moog on.

You're correct. A segment of "No Time or Space" (about 10:22 to 18:31) is laid over "I Remember Jeep" and faded up and down throughout the song.

Re: Electronic Sound on ATMP?
Thanks steepien and Mr Bump for replying and confirming. I didn't have an opportunity to check any of the other tracks but you're both right I'm sure that it's contained to 'I remember Jeep' and that it IS from the "ES" album

Re: Electronic Sound on ATMP?
It’s most definitely I Remember Jeep and the very end of Save the World from Somewhere in England has a bit of “Crying” from Wonderwall….figured I’d add share some more useless trivia

Still punishing Bernie Krause?
I wonder if Krause pretended not to notice the finery of Kinfauns' residential camouflage. It was like the pigmentation of an octopus or a sting ray. Too bad we're not in the Yellow Submarine! How shocking. How electronic! 'Open the pod bay barnacle MAL!'. Did anyone play the other Zapple record for Mr. Krause?
Bernie, Bernie, Bernie!
Would you please share the good dope with us?
You were the MOOG factory rep in 1968...the company that invented an electronic machine with gimmicks like circuitry, math and lots of potential for a brand new musical realm and infinite melodic possibilities. It makes racket in a decidedly electronic fashion with a programmable memory(?) and a classical approach to flexibility that has no limit. The device immediately gets attention from a Beatle and so, you negotiate a sales transaction and deliver/install the unit to Esher!. George liked your professionalism so much, he was going to credit you on the front cover of an album bearing his name. Confusion ensued. Aspersions were cast. Feelings were hurt. Labels were pressed onto wrong sides of disc accidentally. More confusion. The clear-light moment when it became obvious that this Beatle was trying to ride your coattails..."Take my name off of the record"! Electronic Sound...which seems to be a perfect title to allow Beatle influence to herald in the joy of it all. You might have called him a thief. George must have laughed at the divine implication of it all. Everything is in place...poised in absolute balance...Emerson, Lake And Palmer will be here in a year and Brian Eno doesn't even know he's Brian Eno yet! If Bernie had given a little thought to this, he would have begged George to change the title to "I'm In The Moog". Then, George should have renamed Bernie's demo "No A or B side", and "Under The Mercy Paint". That is an incredible sequence of events and I had never heard the moog on Abbey Road until I was a member of this forum.
So, hand over the heroijuana, Bernie!
What a moogy dude!
CASIO sure missed an opportunity. I thought by 1984 or 5, they would have added a PORN pre-set rhythm button between Marimba and Calypso. But, long before that...there was Bernie Krause who didn't think The Beatles had any aptitude for keyboard nuance, or retail product endorsement...et cetera!
Bernie might have realized George was merely showing him in EXACT value who is stealing from whom.
No Time Or Space Or Bernie or great googly moogly or even a moogly Monkee named Micky could have positioned Krause in a better dream. And, THAT is all I learned about the 'organ that knew too much'. Did Krause forget that electronics can zap the bystander the way an apple can Zapple a Beatle with a solo bug...a bear claw in a radar range...a band on the run...a hand on her buns...so, maybe Bernie wasn't loved the way he needed to be but in 1968 he was poised to play a role in music that might have kept The Beatles together and better than ever!
Take my name off that album!"
And now you know why Bernie Krause didn't get to forget. George wanted him to think about it forever...hence the BK moniker still visible through silver paint on Electronic Sound cover and No Time Or Space masked over the 3rd disc of All Things Must Piss!
Call it Zapple Jam and the dominoes!
Bernie could have had an album with George and one with his technician.
Who knows? Synthesized or...
ARTIFICIAL?
