Hi,
A couple of years ago I was given a digital transfer of Geoff Emerick's personal copy of Sgt. Pepper's (Mono) on tape. I sourced this from an engineer who had visited the studio (I believe in Memphis) where Emerick had gotten the tape transferred the week prior. This tape was also bounced pre-mastering so it is bass-heavy as compared to other mixes.
I spoke with Lord Reith about this in January of last year and he confirmed it has differences to the Mono CD in terms of Mastering.
All files are in .aif format and 16bit 44.1khz.

Cheers,
JC

Re: Geoff Emerick's Tape of Sgt Pepper's in Mono
Do we have any idea what year this transfer took place?

I'll ask as soon as I see the engineer again.Chicagofanforever 5+ wrote: ↑Fri Aug 25, 2023 5:47 pm Do we have any idea what year this transfer took place?
