That's what's been suggested so until It's confirmed I'm cautious about it.

This comes from Fenno Werkman, the same guy who claims he owns a 1961 Hamburg film for years and years but has never provided any genuine evidence to prove it!

I don't know, the Beatles 1 transfer certainly doesn't look like a dupe or 16mm to me.

The restored video even has NEW footage inserted.

Why would a collector in Denmark have the original footage?

Sadly Fenno is infamous in Dutch collectors circles as he often boasts about stuff he doesn't actually own, or simply got through trading and then claims he fished it out of bins himself or got it gifted from people high in the chain or close to the celebrities. Literally his only claim to fame is that he apparently supplied some footage to the Imagine movie project and was mentioned in the Thanks To section, and it goes to show how even now he brings this up in the Facebook posts linked in the Hoffman forum thread...

I visited a showing of his 'personal archive' in the Melkweg in Amsterdam around 15 years ago, where he mostly displayed stuff from the Abbey Road Video Show bootleg, and also alternate shots from the A Day In The Life promo, claiming it was 'the first Beatles promo shot on color film'. I then called him out during the Q&A that the Chiswick House promo's were in color too and he brushed it off saying those were colorised :| I realised then he was just full of baloney.

What I can believe about this announcement is that he bought some broadcaster's archive with copies of music promo's too, as that's how he seems to have formed most of his archive, but that hardly relates to anything being an original material source. And as we have seen from 1+ there's nothing wrong with the archival element of SFF, it's looks excellent (it already did in the original Anthology series), it's the Penny Lane one that's problematic as the surviving element (as shown in the Making Of) has faded dramatically. Which would indicate it was a low quality distribution positive. More or less how movie reels meant for theaters were made on low resilience stock that would fade in a few years, which was fine for theaters that ran a movie for a few months at most. It would be huge if they rediscovered the original negative or a high quality positive for Penny Lane as well. Come to think of it, the same thing happened for the Stones's Child of the Moon promo a year or so ago, where there were only b/w copies in circulation (as that's how it was originally distributed).

Above is Fenno, in his younger years, at Abbey Road.

For many years, Fenno has claimed that he has a 'Master Tape' of Strawberry Fields. He said he obtained it from a Dutch Television company in the 1980's. Therefore, it would indeed be a magnetic tape, not a celluloid film. It is possible that he is now referring to this tape, which he - apparently- had lost somewhere in his huge collection.

No it's not 'possible', because his Facebook post literally says he has found a film can containing 'the original' 35 mm print of the SFF promo.
Na 10 jaar zoeken is het originele filmblik met inhoud terug gevonden van the Beatles “Strawberry Fields Forever” op 35mm film!
Which is also discussed in the linked forum threads.

It was filmed with a 16mm Arriflex camera.
