Another rip from the raving madman at Abbey Road and Vine. At least he's good at preserving the rare.

Re: Revolver Japanese Reel-to-Reel EAXA-5092
Oh but you see, according to the site this came from, they're better than any vinyl could ever hope to sound and we should all feel ashamed for enjoying the sound of records.
I admittedly think this one has a pretty even midrange sound, but based on the hype, I was sort of expecting bass on the level of German Revolvers.

Do you know who it is who originally posted these rips?

It occurs to me that maybe this site is not commonly known here.

This site appears to be a sort of vanity sharing forum that this Country Crock character uses to brag about his reel to reel collection, profess his distaste for vinyl lovers, and even try and spout conspiracy theories about Lukpac and Dr. Ebbetts. Pretty much every one of his more recent posts is whinging about a topic related to what he's posting.
That being said, he does have rather clean rips of some reel to reel tapes (largely Capitol but some from other countries like the two Apple ones I have posted). I thought the Revolver had a clean enough high end (seriously, spectrogram shows this goes up to almost 20k) that it would interest somebody.

Turns out I already had this (by "hogshead of hellfire", same waveform) but had misfiled it in my collection.

Not sure, the date on my Revolver file is 9/21, Sgt. Pepper, 1/22.
"hogshead of hellfire" seems to be a member here, last posted a year or so ago. So I guess I got the files from here.
He also did:
A Hard Day's Night (UA/Music Tapes Inc. UST 3366 reel-to-reel, mono)
THE MOST NOTICEABLY DIFFERENT CAPITOL STEREO MIXES
Among other things.
As for this CountryCrock's site – that's a whole other discussion... I had never heard of it before you mentioned it but went there to see what else he had and he is raving indeed (!!!).
