This is the main problem with mashups, in that when an artist creates a recording every part recorded influences decisions about the other parts. In a mashup you lose that overiding sense of cohesion. But they can be interesting "what if?" exercises.

Joe Walsh is said to have learned how to play both parts of that solo at the same time, when he was young. Now that is something I'd give my left knuckle to hear.
