Hi, guys!
I was revisiting the outstanding "John Lennon at home" bootleg, the one with the acoustic guitar performance of "Grow old with me", but sadly I have no inner booklet notes whatsoever. Also, it appeared after "8 arms to hold you" (Does anyone suggest an updated reference book, by the way?), so I don´t have a lot of details about it.
Does anyone have more info on this recording?
Thanks!

While I´m on this subject, I´d like to highlight the version on the recent "Gimme some truth" compilation. I don´t think we gave proper attention to it. They did a really neat version by using demixing technology.

I’ve wondered about this. When Milk and Honey came out we were told the version of GOWM on that was the only 1 in existence. Did they find tapes that had been stolen after that? IIRC no other version featured in the Lost Lennon Tapes series either.

I’m no expert, but I assumed the Lennon Estate got back a bunch of tapes from Fred Seaman or associate. Also, the story that Yoko gave as it being the only one, doesn’t seem to tread water.

Isn't this the same version from the official Anthology in the late 90s? Nevertheless, I'd love to hear what demixing could do for GOWM, as well as the official versions of Free As A Bird and Real Love.billylentz wrote: ↑Mon Feb 13, 2023 2:12 pm While I´m on this subject, I´d like to highlight the version on the recent "Gimme some truth" compilation. I demixed GOWM and RL amongst other Lennon demos. Here are all of them:

It´s a demixed then remixed version. Very beautiful. Much different sound. Drum box on the first verses is out, for example. Worth listening!
