Hiwax insists the the famous "whisky flat" soundboard tape is not from the Philadelphia '64 concert because the video of the show does not sync with the tape.
Here's his explanation,
He says Ringo stop playing drums at a certain point while he's playing "All My Loving", although he doesn't so on the said tape.
(Keep in mind that the portion in question is not included in the widely circulated video.)
Opinions?

There's nothing on the tape that I recall indicating it was in Philadelphia. Maybe it was just an educated guess that became folklore.
And am I right in saying that there is actually no such place as Whiskey Flats? That's a shame. It's a great name for a town!

Lewisohn writes the Philly show was aired on radio.
According to Doug Sulpy and John Winn, the show was broadcasted by WIBG AM.
It is also said that Paul says "Hello, Philly" before the performance starts.

Actually, it doesn't sound like the voice (it may not even be Paul's) is saying "Hello, Philly" at all. More like "Well, babe" (although that's not it either). That bit can be heard at 6:14 here: xxx.youtube.com/watch?v=zdpEXgK2tYM (replace xxx with www)

I agree. "Hello, Philly" is said to be heard during the intro of the show.beatlesondvd wrote: ↑Wed Jan 25, 2023 5:17 am Actually, it doesn't sound like the voice (it may not even be Paul's) is saying "Hello, Philly" at all. By the way, does anyone recognize the voice of the MC (?), who says something like "And now....".
The voice is at 5:20 of the same video.
If the voice is Hy Lit's (from WIBG), the tape is certainly from the Philly show.

Re: Whisky Flat concert - Philadelphia '64 or not?
There are a few differences I could find between the "Whiskey Flats" audio and the Philadelphia footage, and I also think the correct date of the audio is probably Atlantic City instead (thanks to AdamBound). I edited together my findings in a video:

edit: I compared the "Whiskey Flats" recording to the real Atlantic City recording (the one where some people put their own version over the real audience recording), and the stage banter is a bit different.

Thanks for your comment.
I'd love to hear Hy Lit's voice on another source. Anyone could help?
