Pantomime Season

As its traditionally pantomime season, here's a pantomime in itself - a three disc set of Beatle fakes and forgeries. The tracks on the first two discs have, at some point, been passed off as Beatle tracks on bootlegs because they sounded vaguely like the Beatles, featured a Beatle or two (or were said to) or were by acts with a name that suggested they could be the Beatles in disguise.

Disc three has tracks by bands that set out to deliberately pastiche the Beatle sound along with blatant attempts at forgery and fakery, or were tracks from 70's acts that got badged as the reformed Beatles.

The discs are in assumed chronological order. The one exception is Frenzy and Distortion on disc one which is from the 1972 Raga soundtrack. I kept that as a de-facto 1967 recording because it's become such an establish part of the bootleg cannon as being a Pepper era outtake.

There's some errors in the artwork I'm afraid. Track 8 on disc one is supposedly 1965 as opposed to 1962. The Utopia track on disc three is track 20 per the cover but is actually track three as per the insert. All other tracks on disc three after that track are bumped up one number in the playing order.

Some tracks remain a mystery, some are in shoddy quality but overall its a fairly entertaining listen.
