Thanks, zappaf78! My intention wasn't to fully recreate those missing songs but rather make montages to compliment them. As for the rest of the film, I had always wanted to fix the out of sync moments or restore angles to their respective songs. There was a bit of cheating in regards to repeating footage with songs where I felt the angles should've focused on whoever was singing the song at the time.zappaf78 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 09, 2022 6:21 pm Turnophone, I really like your presentation to this film. Liked the edits to the ending of Ticket To Ride, the beginning of Dizzy Miss Lizzie, and your choice of intros (EWTBMB) and outros (She's A Woman - plus adding your name in the credits). Really well done.
There are odd edits in the original film for sure, but no more frustrating than the edits made during A Hard Day's Night where George switches from his Rickenbacker to Gretsch in a matter of seconds .
I also wanted more close ups of John in the songs where he sang, so I repeated some footage to extend his screen time. Twist and Shout was a good example of this where his close ups came too late towards the end of the song. So I inserted more close ups at the beginning of the song.
Everybody's Trying To Be My Baby was quite a task, mainly concerning George's close ups. I reused some shots from the film (Twist and Shout and Help) and did a lot of frame by frame masking out Paul from those shots to make it look like George was singing solo.
There are numerous other things I did throughout the new edit which escape me. Overall, I'm happy with the final result
