Re: YESTERDAY... AND TOMORROW
I was disappointed that you didn't deem Taxman worthy.
But, I did love it...AND an EP no less!
Very ethereal!
Thank you, Lord Reith!
I hope you're not jaded by the electricity of it all!

Re: YESTERDAY... AND TOMORROW
Thanks again guys.
I actually did Taxman ages ago, along with Paperback Writer and Rain. In some other thread.
I've gone EP mad lately. I think I love EPs more than LPs. As a young teen I couldn't afford LPs and EPs were a favourite way of mine to get my Beatles fix on limited funds. I had to wait for birthdays and Christmas to get the lps!Kwai Chang wrote: ↑Thu Oct 20, 2022 5:38 pm I was disappointed that you didn't deem Taxman worthy.

It sounds quite different when de-located from the drums doesn't it. The first thing I thought was that it sounded like the demo "take 1". In fact it's pretty unusual that they put drums on a song called "I'm Only Sleeping" but, as usual, Ringo comes up with a part that completely enhances the song. I wonder what Pete Best would have come up with.I love it! The acoustic guitar on IOS sounds wonderful

Re: YESTERDAY... AND TOMORROW
I've made some changes to GDS, pulling both drum tracks towards the centre in a stereo spread, rather than just having one in the centre and the other at the side, which is a bit lopsided. I think this works better.

Thanks man. It really is a headphones mix. The original stereo mixes don't sound too bad on speakers.harrythebannister wrote: ↑Sun Oct 23, 2022 10:18 am Headphones on and sounding FAB!
