Help! (US Stereo) (2022) (Remaster)
Help! (US Stereo) (2022) (Remaster)
Hey everyone, I posted a Help! remix earlier via "Remixes and Variations" using mostly Blu-ray as the source for the Beatles' tracks.
Here's a remaster using a very good vinyl needle drop as the source -
hxxps://we.tl/t-5NzPirjsFl - Good for one week...
Which one do you like best?
Vinyl remaster?
Blu-ray remix?
Enjoy!

Re: Help! (US Stereo) (2022) (Remaster)
Hi alphabeatles,
Goal is to provide superior quality US album remixes and/or remasters based on CD/Blu-ray digital files or vinyl needle drops.
Needle drop tracks are mostly from best quality UK vinyl (with some exceptions for unique US mixes).
Therefore, which version of the US Help! do you like best? The remix from the Blu-ray or the remaster using the original 1965 mixes?

Thanks for your reply but I still don't get whether you're gathering existing tracks from various sources into your collections or doing some remastering/remixing work on them yourself.
I ask because I have all of your source files and don't really need another copy, ha! But if you did something different to them, please describe your process.

Re: Help! (US Stereo) (2022) (Remaster)
Hi alphabeatles,
Yes, I am gathering tracks from various sources and remastering or editing them accordingly. (A lot of remastering is for basic volume leveling.)
I am not remixing any tracks. The remixed tracks are Apple remixes with edits as needed.
One example is the prior mentioned edit to the Help! track Blu-ray adding the so called James bond intro, as well as adding this edit to the Help! remaster vinyl needle drop.
Other examples are minor edits to the beginning of the Blu-ray "Another Girl" and the outro of the Blu-ray "You've Got To Hide Your Love Away."
Minor edits have been copied from the 2014 US CD's.

Just grab 'm all while you can. You can hear true magic in the sound of these remasters, and I have a fondness for the Capitol albums.

Re: Help! (US Stereo) (2022) (Remaster)
Thank you Bombers_1969 I'm really enjoying this collection. It's great to hear Help! with the faux Bond intro, just as it was on my copy of the Red Album long ago - but in great sound here.
A question: What is the difference between the mixes on the 2015 DVD/Blu-ray and the ones on the 2007/DVD Blu-ray, and why did you choose one over the other as a source for the particular songs on your collection?

Glad your enjoying the collection!
To answer your question -
- Help (2015) Blu-ray - Liked the separation of voices and the lead guitar runs better. The voices are also more upfront. Also, the 2007 track from the movie has the sound of a film projector in the intro which would be difficult to edit out.
- Ticket To Ride (2015) Bluray - Liked the overall punch of the track and power of the bass drum better. Plus, the 2007 track from the movie has wind sounds in the intro which would be difficult to edit out.
