Ah,..good ol' Jimmy Saville (we all know what he was up to....) introducing Murray The "K"!! That's certainly one of those moments. He's one of the few that could (kind of) tame the crowd and take control of announcing the Beatles without being drowned out in a sea of shrieks and sirens.

The guy who introduces them at the 1965 NME fares a bit better. But by then, Beatlemania in the UK seems slightly calmer, relatively speaking. And rather than screaming for the Beatles, the young crowd was screaming because, well, that's what you do at their shows.

It's a smart thing that they said they liked jelly babies. It could've been a hell of a lot worse if they said they liked gefilte fish.
