It's Sweden Week here at Beatlegdb and to compliment Top Of The Klas I am also uploading two other Swede Apple Tricks on DVD.
Here is the complete 30 minute tv show Drop In, with English subtitles. Seeing the whole show is fascinating if only to get an idea of how exciting the Beatles must have seemed to people in 1963. It was like the whole world was asleep and they are suddenly sounding the reveille. A lot of it is also unintentionally funny!
DVD is in PAL format, subs are on by default but can be switched off.
Enjoy!

Re: DROP IN (complete show)
Thank you, I loved this! I love seeing complete shows that The Beatles were on; it really lets you travel back in time, to see them in context, and appreciate just how totally seismic they were. One minute, there's this guy in a V-neck pullover croaking his way through a four year old song, sounding and looking like a bad impression of Johnny Halliday, not to mention the Bossa Nova song in which six young people do very convincing impressions of 40 year old insurance salesmen.... and then... Aaahhagghhhhh! From Outer Space, ladies and gentlemen, it's .....

Being performed nearly at the same time, I consider this shown and Karlaplan as the Greatest performances ever. The Beatles look very cool and fresh, I don´t remember other performance like this, maybe Festival Hall in Australia or Washington. I love this show.
Thanks a lot Master Lord Reith.

Thanks Lord Reith. Robert
Seeing this show in 1963 was what turned me on flat to The Beatles. Forever.
I even still have the same TV set I watched it on then at home now, still working, and I sometimes watch this show from a DVD I made years ago on this TV (it's a Philips 22" from 1957, black & white of course with mahogany cabinet and very very rounded screen corners and a 15" internal speaker). A sort of time machine. Love it. It looks like this (but it's not my photo as I'm not at home now)
