Re: The Beatles In Spain
Thank you, LR. This was apparently broadcast on 27 November 1991, originally.Lord Reith wrote: ↑Sun Jul 10, 2022 9:06 am A Spanish documentary about the 1965 visit from the late 1990s

Re: The Beatles In Spain
Thank you, Lord Reith!
This is a highly recommended feature, but if you don't have forty six minutes, go directly to 18:40 for ten seconds of the absolute most Jimmy Nichol on drums.
I admire his spirit! He really loved The Beatles, long before Ringo got tonsillitis! I love how their ***appearance*** in Denmark(?) at the pub/theater has Jimmy cracking up at Lennon's every word! I know John must have been a huge release for him. Yet, temporary situations start and end without warning. Jimmy Nichol knew it, but was more than willing to endure the wrath of a great SHORT gig!
They couldn't have done it with Sandy Nelson. That's for sure!

***FOOTNOTE***
The 'pub/theater' appearance I refer to is NOT in this film. I was referring to it because it flows with the concert footage of Nichols seen here.
Apologies for any confusion !

Re: The Beatles In Spain
This has been around forever and a day, but sometimes these very old things just get overlooked by newer fans, so that's why I posted it. I'm glad some people had not seen it before.
