Recompilation of the original Barrett bootlegs or a recompilation of more recent restored/enhanced versions?

Any thoughts on why these tapes hold fewer tracks as they go later into The Beatles recording career?
I can see how earlier leaks could occur for which bootleggers could take advantage.
Then, over time, security would tighten.
But in this instance there is apparently unprecedented access to everything, yet it seems the most interesting material

I wish Roger Scott had made some IN-LINE copies of the 'I Am The Walrus' session, where they were perfecting the backing track, which he recorded OFF-LINE on his 'bag tapes' (and was on the 'Control Room Monitor Mixes' CD). I'd rather have those than multiple and incomplete goes at mixing 'A Day In The Life'!

It's my understanding the cataloging of what was actually on the tapes was happening concurrently with selecting material for the multimedia show.quigatolah wrote: ↑Sat Jan 20, 2024 5:36 pm Any thoughts on why these tapes hold fewer tracks as they go later into The Beatles recording career?
