Nowhere Man updated mix & link corrected

Post by Mixerrog »

Using Lord Reith's good minus 1 version as my source, I separated the lead from the backing vocals & then separated the backing vocals all using DeMIX Pro 3 + using it for the major stems to come up with this new stereo mix you can grab with password of 092849 for a week at hxxps://we.tl/t-dBlJ3VhssY

Enjoy, Rog

Hi Rog, thanks as always but this upload is only 20 bytes...

Maybe still uploading?

EDIT: Nope, file is borked.

I noticed the same issue with the file. Is a rar with a password necessary for this?

The reason I'm interested in this is because it might present the rhythm track without vocals very cleanly compared to other releases. This means this would possibly be a nice reconstruction of the Take 4 rhythm track. Then if he has the vocals cleanly isolated without the rhythm track bleeding in - he reconstructed the next task that day (the vocal overdubs).

According to the ML Recording Sessions book - recorded on 10.22.1965 were re-make Takes 3,4,5 which were for perfecting the rhythm track first, and so it appears Take 4 was chosen to be used for vocal overdubs (SI) on the same day afterwards.

Thanks for letting me know, WeTransfer must have not liked my mix - LOL. I uploaded it again & corrected the link now. It checks ok now.

Enjoy & sorry for the trouble but think it is worth trying again.

That's great Rog, it's like swimming in Beatles vocals!

I'm curious how an acapella of your demix would sound?

I'm not familiar with Lord Reith's minus 1 version, but does it have only one track of the double-tracked vocals?

In other words in your mix are we hearing just 3 voices singing live?

LR's minus 1 mix has all the voices in mono in the center. I also altered the guitar levels in the side channels to hear them slightly better + mixed the bass & lower frequency drums to the center.

As requested above, I will try to get a acapella mix uploaded later when I have time.
