Thanks, Track 06! It appears to be working! Now if I can just find the folder where all the files are being downloaded...

for me, (on a mac) it put the whole site in a folder (www.treefort.org - in my example) in a
folder called websites in my home directory.

if not you might have a hidden directory called .websites
it could also be there (I think).

I you have the full copy of bz, how big is it?
(after you find it :) )

It's downloading (very slowly). I'm at file 6,209 out of 456,866 -- and it took five hours!

Did this ever complete?

I was worried that BZ would be a big site.
The boot section was pretty extensive with lots of artwork.

I too am curious how it's going. And if you'd be willing to share your hard work after it's all downloaded?

Of course I would, but my computer crashed for unrelated reasons after about 26,000 files had been downloaded (out of 450,000+), and I don't have the patience to start anew.

so while we're on the subject of BTZ, here's a fun fact. BTZ actually had themes you could enable in the settings, but I don't think many people ever used them

When I was much greener than I am now, around 2000, I've tried to "Teleport Pro" the entire BZ in my naivety. This was a never-ending task and of course I was bound to fail. But what was obvious to me back then, if this job is to be attempted, it should be done in batches. You'll have to exclude certain directories from your task, and to try them separately. Like, separate jobs for the site, and for the sub-forums.
