Wow it's been a year!
It was sad to see BZ go, but it all turned out okay in the end.

Re: Links to the old Bootlegzone
Isn't strange though that the message from (almost exactly) a year ago is still up?
Someone (Tilleul) must be paying for the site, no?
While the discussions here are great and carried over from there,
there was so much else on the BZ site.
All the information on boots, tracklists, artwork, reviews, etc, not to
say all the previous threads which are useful at times to go back to.
The wayback machine is better than nothing, but its cluncky and not the same.
I'd still like BZ to return.

Somebody tried to buy the domain name off him and he refused. I think he is probably going to keep paying for the domain name because otherwise once it expires, anyone can reregister the domain and call their new site bootlegzone.com

Sound like he's still getting over such a kick in the guts.
The task he indicated of course would be long and difficult but I wonder if it's much more harder than he expected if he's doing it all himself. Remember that's 20 years of his life slaving away and keeping it afloat that's a heck a of personal knock-out to process after such an event.

Definitely doesn't deserve that, who knows where we would be without the zone!
It would be great to see it come back but if it never does, I think we should always be grateful for what he did for so many years.
And while I am at it, another thank you for WilliamShears for stepping up at the point of most need!
Most of my links are to OneDrive. However, OneDrive does impose a download limit and when this is reached displays a message that the files are deleted or have expired. Leave it a while and try again later.

Re: Links to the old Bootlegzone
Love this new(ish) forum but I do miss the boot comments on the bootleg list section that were on BZ. Not every boot had comments but what nearly all the entries had artwork to download, front and back and more. That was a section that I miss from BZ.

Does anyone have a backup of the BZ forum that they could share here?

Re: Links to the old Bootlegzone
I really don't see the point or value of Bootleg Zone coming back for posting Beatles content since we have this forum.
I never had so much stuff that I needed some sort of online catalog.
There's nothing stopping anyone else from making a similar website.
