Yes, I think so.
There's slightly more of this, by the way.

Nice footage. They go passed a large school which we should be able to locate.
Re: Magical Mystery Tour Location Question
It's Camborne Technical College. From around 0.18 is here (as you can expect much of the college has been rebuilt):

Follow the road to get to the houses on the left at 0.30.
Then at 1.12 they go passed this house:

Looking at it again, I think the date on the slate might be a not very well written 12 SepSn00ker wrote: ↑Wed Jun 23, 2021 12:31 pmSorry I've just realised that doesn't make sense as Slate 5 take 1 wouldn't therefore be on the 14th, as we have two takes of "my name is miss winters" approaching Plymouth on the 12th.Sn00ker wrote: ↑Wed Jun 23, 2021 11:16 amI hadn't spotted that Moptop. I don't know really know anything about making a film, but could they have shot all of the "My Name is Miss Winter" takes/scenes as Slate 5's with a subsequent take number afterwards, regardless of when or where they were filmed? And the outtakes available to us are what they compiled during the editing process where they would then select the preferred take. The fact that the outtake reel is not in chronological order is just due to the general chaos of the whole thing.Moptop wrote: ↑Sun Jun 20, 2021 2:52 pm
The screen capture is "My Name is Miss Winter" - The Estuary/River is a very similar height to the road , so can not be the Tamar bridge. We do have a similar shot
14 September 1967 from Clapper Slate 5A Take 1 "My Name is Miss Winter" but no estuary/river to LH.
This raises additional queries about the chronology of slates .
So this would be placed in North Cornwall, not the Devon/Cornwall border.
Does anyone have a map of the filming locations on the 14th, to try and tie down?
Yes, something strange with the slates numbers/dates.

Re: Magical Mystery Tour Location Question
Just want to say, I love this thread. That Lamp Post find is fantastic. It's rare to find English heritage like that still around.
Well done. Be great to have a video done of all the finds.
If we all chipped in to hire a coach (I know someone with vintage coaches and busses) all the BDB members could do MMT revisited.

Re: Magical Mystery Tour Location Question
Several years ago...I worked at RAF St. Mawgan at Newquay and had to make the journey from Plymouth to Newquay on a daily basis. Very strange to think the Fabs made a similar journey all those years before.RunoutGroove wrote: ↑Tue Jul 06, 2021 11:02 am Just want to say, I love this thread. That Lamp Post find is fantastic. Nice local anecdote about Moorlands Garage and Cafe on page 10.
Might be worth emailing the parish council to ask if they have any photos of the garage as it was, to help determine what bits of the "Gents" outtake were filmed there.

Re: Magical Mystery Tour Location Question
I can see it now...
Dear Parish Council,
Hello. We were wondering if you had any pictures of the Moorlands Garage's lavatories. No, no... we're not crazy. We don't collect pictures of lavatories. We're simply trying to re-trace every step The Beatles made 54 years ago when they filmed "Magical Mystery Tour." Wait... no... really... we're not crazy....
