HEY JUDE (isolated live vocals x 2)
Here's something interesting. When they performed this song at Twickenham for TV, they used a backing tape which resembled the single up to the "Nah nah nah" part after which Paul's vocal was muted. So he was partly singing along to himself for the first part of the song.
Here I have split the two components left and right: on the left is the tape they were playing along with; and on the right is all the live stuff. You can hear that there is a tambourine, a little bit of drumming and shouts and harmonies from John on the right as well. It's interesting to hear Paul's recorded vocal and live vocal split between the channels. But the really interesting bit is Paul's isolated vocals in the last part of the song. I noticed quite a lot of things I'd never heard before. See what you think.

Thanks, Lord Reith! Which of the three vocal takes/versions of the 'Hey Jude' promo video did you choose for that?

Here's take 1 which, to my surprise, is even more interesting. John's singing is much louder here and you can clearly hear his harmony in one of the verses (sung out of tune unfortunately) plus lots of enthusiastic backup in the long fade.

Re: HEY JUDE (isolated live vocals x 2)
These two offerings from Lord Reith are absolutely marvellous - it's wonderful to hear the separate vocal parts in such clarity.
Did i detect Paul singing "Take a load off me" well into the Na Na section? If so this must have been around the time it was released by The Band.
Thank LR you for enriching our listening experience.

LOL at 5:25 Paul says "take a load off Annie.... put it back on me" which is from "The Weight" by The band released a month earlier.
