Hi, Folks -
Well... This has been interesting.
I really appreciate all of the feedback and conversation that's been happening in this thread for the last few days. Honestly, I do. But, truth be told, I spent several
months (in between working and other things) revisiting these rips and trying to get the "purest" representations of these LPs that I'm currently capable of getting. I opted not to run them through fancy software, but rather to hand-remove clicks and pops, often taking hours to do just a small section of an album. It was mentally and physically
exhausting, to be honest. But, in the end, I did it mostly for my own listening pleasure.
Given all of the previous positive feedback I'd received from my earlier rips of
memory almost full and a few other things on BZ, I thought I'd share them there. The reaction was very positive, yet I knew I could do a better job with the manual click/pop removal, so I gave them a second round of QC and thought I'd share the revised versions
here.
I'm not sure I have the patience to re-rip all of them all over again - time will tell if and when I upgrade to a DAC - but in the meantime, I'm going to continue to post these each week as planned. You're welcome to either enjoy them or dismiss them, but I'm going to carry on...
That said, here is one of my favorites...
The Beatles' Second Album. I think this one turned out particularly well and I hope you enjoy it!
