I tried adding the tambourine back to "Rain" but it sounds poor. I did an OOPs mix of the stereo (3 dbs leaned to the right because it's not balanced) to cancel out the backing track and then demux the vocals out of that but the result was still garbage. If anyone has a clean isolation of the tambourine feel free to post it. The track sounds fine without it though it doesn't really add anything. The rhythm is in the guitars.

When I get time I'll work on the two remaining tracks (YS, GDS) to finish the album.

OK, I did a lot more work on "Rain" and I was able to get a decent extraction of the tambourine to add back into the mix. I was able to fix some synchronization issues. I was also able to pull the backing vocals apart and open them up. I got rid of the clunky ADT I used in the earlier mix (not needed anymore).

This new mix definitely supercedes (replaces) the previous mix so the file name is the same. I can't see this song being taken any further. It has all the enhancements that can possibly be squeezed out of it and more.

Here's the 2022 Giles version of "She Said, She Said" EQ'd, remixed, vocals narrowed and dirtied up to sound more like the original 1987 CD transfer (not the wonky 2009 remaster) and less like Giles' ice-cream mix. So much nicer.
