Not necessarily. There are people who download, that also appreciate the security of having material in a physical format in case something happens to the file and they're not able to re-download it. Sometimes they'll burn their own CD/DVDs, or in this case they'll buy it.

The only thing that affects the sales of a bootleg is another bootleg label putting the same disc out. It's the innevitable releases from Misterclaudel, Beat et al that will affect the EV release.

There is no universe in which someone in 2023 is going to buy an expensive boot from Japan with even more expensive postage just to get the audio. Anyone who just wants the audio is always going to wait for a torrent. Like I said, the people who buy the boots do so because they want a physical product. They have an entire Facebook group of their own. Nearly all of the stuff on the Japanese cds is easily available to download. Clearly those downloads have no impact whatsoever on people buying these cds.

A lot has changed in the last five years.

Well I agree. I mean, I'm considering buying it myself because it is a "core" boot. I just wish it was on vinyl!

Whoa! Spendy is right. I ordered this on Sunday through the Buyee Japan site someone mentioned for less than half this amount. Supposedly, my copy just shipped. Not sure when it will arrive.
