Apple should issue "Carnival of Light" for Record Store Day as a 12" single, backed with the long version of "Revolution 1" with all the effects.

Or the 27 minute "Helter Skelter" with "Suzy Parker" as a B-Side. :)

I don't think it will get a standalone vinyl release. When Giles was asked about the 27 minute "Helter Skelter", he vetoed it because he thought there wouldn't be enough room on the CD (not true as the though the SDE CDs have always come WELL under 80 minutes). He also said "if you want to hear it, just play the 12-minute version twice".

My point being, "Helter Skelter" while a LONG jam, is still a song in the traditional sense. If that's too extreme for Giles and Apple, then a 13 minute standalone release of and experimental sound piece meant to be played at a light and sound exhibition/rave is truly off the table.

As we all know, Apple don't care about the "socks and sandals brigade". They aim for the middle. Even with their big expensive box sets clearly aimed at super fans.....go figure.
