Hey guys, QQ - do these drops have smiley eq because it's on the original MFSL releases, or because Dr. Robert futzed with the rips?

Yes, but some rippers tend to futz with the sound. I think that's what the question was about.
And, Doc (Dr. Robert, the ripper, not the forum member here) was a purist and would just want to present the sound as on the record.
