Just even hearing the sound of the modem in old programmes or movies makes me break out in hives. That sound was specially created to torture and savage the bared nerves of early internet adopters.

I can remember downloading a song from napster for the first time. I thought it was absolutely amazing that I could get this one song over a telephone line, and it only took all night!

How funny is that. The past is another country - they do things different there.
