Tex's "Please Please Me" album remixes
Re: "Baby It's You" bare bones mixes
Wow, this is something special. Might be the best PPM-era remix I've ever heard. You took a song I always thought sounded kind of distanced and made it come to life. Keep this up!

Love these 3 mixes....EMI should use these in a PPM ox set
Love to see the whole album does in this fashion

It's pretty cool to hear how simplistic of a sound the greatest rock & roll band of all time made, but was so inovative at the time. For me, the simpler it sounds, the greater it is. As a first generation fan, I always look for that guitar sound that all of the Brit Inv bands made. The guitar sounds of 62-65 were fantastic. I love the later stuff, but the sound that hooked me came from the very early days, and the stuff that hooked them came from the mid and late 50's.
Thanks very much Engonoceras, great job!

The method on these are:
1. Run the isolated left channel only through DEMUCS (or other) to get 4 channels.
2. Run the isolated right channel only through DEMUCS (or other) to get 4 channels.
3. Run the now isolated vocals through DEMUCS deverb (or other) to get 2 channels (bare vocals, vocal reverb)
4. Recombine like a modern stereo mix but not 100% width.
5. Reduce the vocal reverb channel 3 or 4 decibels but not totally.
6. Added a tiny bit of low end and high end to the drums.
7. Add a tiny bit of high end to the two instrumental channels and maybe reduce the 2k a bit.
8. Dial down the 2k from the vocals maybe 2 decibels because of John's nasal voice.

Fantastic work as always! I've been filing these independently, are you working toward a full LP's worth?
Regarding Ask Me Why (drums, bass, vocals), can you do a stereo mix of this one (probably with vocals centered)?
As for "LOL, the imperfect background vocals", George usually sticks out pretty badly...

I really enjoyed listening to these, especially the 'bare bones' remixes, so cool to hear and it's great how the spectral separation technology is improving all the time. Thanks
