I am going to start posting this lengthy radio series. In all, it contains 1397 shows. This started right after The Lost Lennon Tapes on April 5, 1992 and ran until December 30, 2018, Just about 27 years in all. The show was broadcast each weekend like The Lost Lennon Tapes. I was in contact with the show's producer Brian Huen during the last year and asked him why the show was ending. He was told by the higher ups that it's time to move on. He was only producing the last 2 1/2 years. I started recording the shows off the radio onto cassette tapes (and that's a lot of cassettes!) from the very beginning up until 2008 when my radio station dropped the show. So some of these shows are recorded right from the radio, some are ripped from a CD that were sent to the radio stations. Most of the shows from 2009 thru 2011 are direct from Westwood One that I received from the Producer to upgrade the ones I had. Also each show has a cue sheet.
Also shows 92-01 thru 92-13 are the last 13 shows of The Lost Lennon Tapes.
So here goes this lengthy post. Are you ready?
I will post each year for 1 week. No Re-ups from me.

Re: The Beatle Years (Westwood One)
Thanks a lot for bringing this series again. I always enjoyed the shows ...
Re: The Beatle Years (Westwood One)
I was about 15 and naively expected this series to continue in the vein of Lost Lennon Tapes - with lots of rare outtakes, demos, live, etc. of the Beatles.
Bit of a letdown and I stopped after a few episodes.

Re: The Beatle Years (Westwood One)
I remember that my local radio station, I think it was KLSX, made the "silent" transition to Beatle Years from Lost Lennon Tapes. No announcement. No warning. The show just changed. I was disappointed that all the outtakes, concerts, and demos were no more. I stopped listening after a couple weeks of this. I think KLSX stopped airing it after a few years, too.
Thanks all the same, though. As I am somewhat of an archivist/historian, these definitely have a place. I may even give a few of them a listen.
