Help! Remix
Has anyone done a Stereo Remix ofthe help album? I know Lord Reith was working on one, but curious if one is out there.
Re: Help! Remix
"Help!" is on the way, maybe sometime later today...
(Look out for a thread named Help! (lossless stereo remix using 2009 stereo remaster)).

Re: Help! Remix
I've made one using the original 1965 mix (as reissued in 2009): tracks with drums now have centred drums, for example. The original mix was muddy (on side one) and the bass was mixed a tad low. If you are interested, drop me a PM.

Re: Help! Remix
Hi Guys, Whilst we are on the subject of HELP! remixes/re-masters, and in particular the recent threads concerning Disque Americ EMI Canada cds,
I thought I would share with you my first attempt at remastering the HELP! cd using (EMI Canada C2 46439)(Disque Americ) 1989 original 1965 stereo mixes as the source material. I included 8 addition related songs including "That Means A Lot" and put it up on the zone last year. Art work courtesy of Leisky ( if anyone knows how to contact him it would be great to see him here as his publishing skills are excellent. Anyway enjoy the music
Hope this link works !!!

Re: Help! Remix
Thx. What type of mastering was done here? (stereo separation/centering type stuff/EQ boosting/etc) - Just curious.

Re: Help! Remix
Hi there. I used an audio equalization programme as a means to reduce or increase specific frequencies on each track to make it sound clearer in the mixes- with the exception of some "double tracking" that I used on George's vocal for "I Need You" (the bonus track) Some volume adjustments and "Normalisation" were then applied I think, using :(Audacity-freeware software editing programme) Then burned to cd for listening. This was my very first attempt and subsequently, I was then approached by the chap that produced the artwork "Leisky", to see if I could do the same for "Rubber Soul"- after he sent me the Disque Americ files for that album. Hence my interest in the Canadian issues. Hope that helps Thanks
