Interview & Radioshow Discs
Re: Interview & Radioshow Discs
Thanks for all these. I'm particularly interested in the BBC docs, going through my collection to replace the ones that are in better quality than mine. The version of 'A Splendid Time Was Guaranteed For All' from 1987 is incomplete, ending on the Sgt Pepper run-out track. Here's the complete version, with an extra 3 minutes where Annie Nightingale plays the run-out backwards, to reveal the 'rude' message. Maybe some of the BBC docs on non-UK broadcasts were edited down or chopped up to include adverts etc. Anyway, I hope this helps to fill a hole in this mammoth project.

Thanks very much for this. Don't anybody be fooled by the 2017 6Music rebroadcast which has the extra ending but was only 60mins long.Nimbus wrote: ↑Tue Nov 22, 2022 12:56 am Thanks for all these. Re: Interview & Radioshow Discs
Does anyone know the title of a BBC radio doco where they played Pop Go The Beatles/Do You Want To Know A Secret/Sweets For My Sweets from PGTB#7 and a whole bunch of other rare BBC sessions? It was a Kevin Howlett production, probably some time in the second half of the 1990s. I only have extracts on tape and don't know what it's called. In fact I've never seen any mention of it anywhere. Would love to hear the whole thing.
