The Usenet Guide to Beatles Recording Variations
Re: The Usenet Guide to Beatles Recording Variations
This is a superb share, thank you for making this available, it is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Re: The Usenet Guide to Beatles Recording Variations
I had problems with it also for the 1969 folder. I then downloaded each ZIP files one by one in my main Download folder. Then I opened zip.001 and voila, it unzipped the whole kit perfectly.James_Creek wrote: ↑Sat Nov 12, 2022 8:51 pm have problems opening this 1969 file. downloaded as five zip files. can't open '.001' zip.1969.jpg
If you download the whole Google drive folder it will zip the zips and do a mashup.

I would say no, it's not a unique mix. It's sloppy mastering job by the VeeJay engineer.I Am The Walrus wrote: ↑Thu Nov 10, 2022 11:35 pm Hello Dial222,
I didn't see in the 1963 folder the Mono Mix made by VeeJay of I Saw Her Standing There with the "1 2 3" is cut off from the beginning.
Can this mix be included or is it irrelevant?
Thank you very much.

"The Unarchiver" worked for me (Mac), nothing else would. The presence of a password is probably making the apps crazy (some ask for it, others freak out).James_Creek wrote: ↑Sun Nov 13, 2022 12:22 am still unable to extract the '1969' folder. All other years opened fine.

@dial222 - a massive thank you for a superb collection!
I have a query - you list the source with code letters, which are generally easy to understand - CD = compact disc, SDE = super deluxe edition. But a couple I'm struggling with - DD = digital download? and I can't think what BD is (as in, 1966 Rain e1). Could you clarify any of these, or is there a key?
Thanks again for your hard work.
EDIT: BD = bonus disc, I think. Seems to only appear with tracks from "1".
