I had not considered the power of EP appeal but the potential is undeniable and can serve more ends today than ever before. It won't even need to be physical because it's a better form of lighting with more gimmick per watt! Microscope with LED efficiency.

I agree. The E.P. format focuses the attention span, allieviates stress and improves mental function in general. It could well turn out to be a cure for all the word's ills.

a fish is still a fish, and largely the reason W.C. Fields so vehemently eschewed drinking water ("because fish f*ck in it"). The same can be said of their Cetacean neighbors, of course, but at least those lunged thingies come up for air once in a while. Not so their scaley colleagues, who labor day and night making the beast with two dorsals, seemingly hellbent on driving the world price of caviar somewhere south of Beanie Babies and Give My Regards to Broad Street VHS tapes. Perhaps that oceanic circle of life is what transfixes Lennon so in each of those pics.

I see that the plush orange dolphins (as Peter Cook might say: "Did you know that a dolphin is not a fish? It's an insect.") are tatooed with the word "Florida" and I wonder if The Beatles associated with any of our submersive mammalian cousins during their visit to Miami in early '64. This could well have become the inspiration for the 1965 Beatles' hit, Day Flipper.

So, counting the "You Say You Want a Revolution" post from a while back (but not counting the isolations and outtakes), the Lord Reith EP's have given us new remixes for:

-12 tracks from "Rubber Soul" (including "In My Life" with the released "Elizabethan" solo)
-5 tracks from "Revolver" (including "Taxman" v2 on YSYWAR)
-both sides of "Paperback Writer"/"Rain" (on YSYWAR)

Can all of the above tracks be considered as replacements for the current versions on "Abracadabra"? Or should we hold our horses until a full upgrade?

Hold your seahorses laddie! These are always works in progress so there will no doubt be some more minor improvements once they wend their way onto Abracadabra... soon.

Once again, a big thankyou to Fish and "all who love them." In ponds, in oceans, in buckets...
