The second shot is approaching the Tamar bridge from the Devon side. You can see the side of one of the toll booths and they are on the Plymouth side.
The first shot appears to be the coach approaching Plymouth via Embankment road. The water to the left looks like the river Plym. The two chimneys in the background looks like the old power station demolished 1990.
I'm guessing this was the detour after they had got stuck on the way to Widdecombe In The Moor. Next stop would have been Plymouth Hoe.

Re: Magical Mystery Tour Location Question
different story: Unable to take another second of it, John ordered the bus to stop, stormed out the door, and ripped the signs from the sides of the coach in a fury. You can see that that the logo has been torn from the bus, which ties in with the common story of it being ripped off when they got stuck on the bridge earlier that day.
"They should have filmed that ", Neil barked.

Re: Magical Mystery Tour Location Question
This is the location they are approaching on Embankment Road. The garage and single story building behind it are still there!

Re: Magical Mystery Tour Location Question
Hidden in a magical mystery tour home movie; as a picture (out of place )
And what about the licence plates of cars seen in MMT could they give a clue in some cases?

Re: Magical Mystery Tour Location Question
Nice find Fl.
It's a shame everything (photos and film footage) is shot so close. If we had some distance or wider angles we might have something to go on.
Unfortunately the car licence plates aren't regional (at least I don't think they are).

Re: Magical Mystery Tour Location Question
It's quite possible that the "gents" outtake is 3 or more locations, there are lots of edits. Moorlands Garage and Cafe, Gents, Ice Cream Parlour - 3 different locations?
Re: Magical Mystery Tour Location Question
Been trying to find this location, from about 5 mins into the film. A quite distinct house on the corner with 2 houses behind it. Presumably the bus is travelling along an 'A' road.

Re: Magical Mystery Tour Location Question
Also can anyone grab a clearer screenshot of this and decipher the name of the farm on the sign?
