Re: Superb Premium CDs
Can somebody clarify what "Original Analog Master Stereo Mix" on these sets means? Original '60s releases from vinyl? 2009 remasters? Some tracks are labeled "Millennium Re-Master" – is this from the older series of that name?
From SHF:
"There are 3 different issues of the Millennium Remasters sets:
1. 1982 UK Mono and MFSL Stereo
2. 1982 Japan Mono and 1976 Japan EAS Series Stereo (The Russian set was cloned from this)
3. 1982 UK Mono and UK Stereo from the BC-13 Blue Box."
Other info (from hxxps://cdsagashi.exblog.jp/2459430/):
"'Millennium Remasters' is an ongoing project dedicated to transferring rare, audiophile, mono and stereo, LPs to the CD format. Most sources are audiophile quality, un-played LPs to insure the cleanest possible end result.
The mono source is the early 80s UK MONO BOX SET, and the stereo source is the MOBILE FIDELITY BOX SET, except for the one UHQR disc as noted..."
As for the "Multirack Remix and Remasters Stereo Remix", "Naked Vocal Track Stereo Remix" and "Backing Track Instrumental Stereo Remix", those may have been lifted from someone else's sets or freshly done, hard to tell. They all sound good though
