Re: The Capitol Albums - Vol. 3 (fake)
Much appreciated, and thanks!
A couple notes. The UA version of AHDN soundtrack is near and dear to my heart as the only way to get it domestically in the US for many years. I also kind of dig the orchestral versions included from the score. However, it is not a Capitol Album. But I get why it's here. Cool.
The Beatles Story. I got that as one of my first Beatle albums. Kind of a flawed, but cool at the time, telling of the history of The Beatles with a kind of melancholy/nostalgic orchestral backing. A couple parts I really liked were at the start of Side 4 with a live clip of the intro to Twist And Shout. And the medley of tunes, which led me ultimately to have fun guessing which songs they were, and to follow up and buy the Something New and Beatles Second Album albums. (See what I did right there?...) Something that always strikes me as funny is that the narrator refers to Ringo's pre-Beatles band as Rory Storm and The Texans. Finally, I would hope that if a fake volume 4 were to somehow surface, that it would include both the mono and stereo versions of Story.
Galoot update re: AHDN....I just read that when EMI bought UA records in 1978, they acquired the rights to that soundtrack album and released it on the Capitol label in 1980.

Re: The Capitol Albums - Vol. 3 (fake)
Those 4 US albums were first issued on CD when the 2014 The US Albums box set was issued.
They can be bought individually on Amazon or Ebay, all brand new.
I just did not long ago and am very happy with them.

Keep in mind that those 4 (from the 2014 box set) aren’t from the the Capitol master tapes like the 2004 and 2006 US box sets were (to the best of my knowledge). I *think* they’re more or less composites from the various 2009 remasters (again, this is to the best of my knowledge, I don’t purport to be a guru on the subject).
